Ahsania Mission University of Science and Technology (AMUST) is delighted to welcome its new batch of students for the Fall 2023 semester. The orientation program for the freshers was held on 27 August 2023 at 4:00 PM in the university auditorium. The program was attended by the honorable Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, the Deans of different faculties, the Heads of different departments, and the faculty members of AMUST. The program started with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem. The Vice Chancellor delivered a speech to congratulate the new students and to introduce them to the vision, mission, and values of AMUST. He also highlighted the academic excellence, research facilities, extracurricular activities, and social responsibility initiatives of AMUST. He urged the students to work hard, be creative, and uphold the ethical standards of AMUST. The Pro Vice Chancellor also addressed the students and gave them some tips on how to succeed in their academic journey. He emphasized the importance of discipline, punctuality, teamwork, and communication skills. He also encouraged the students to participate in various clubs and societies of AMUST to enhance their leadership and interpersonal skills. The Registrar then explained the academic rules and regulations, grading system, attendance policy, and examination procedures of AMUST. He also informed the students about the online learning platform, library resources, student portal, and other services available for them. The Deans and Heads of different faculties and departments also welcomed the new students and gave them an overview of their respective programs and courses. They also introduced the faculty members and their areas of expertise. The orientation program ended with a vote of thanks from the President of AMUST Student Council. He welcomed the new students to the AMUST family and assured them of his support and guidance. He also invited them to join the Student Council and contribute to its activities. After the program, the new students were given a campus tour by the senior students and were treated with refreshments. The orientation program was a great opportunity for the new students to get acquainted with AMUST and its culture. It was also a platform for them to interact with their peers, seniors, and teachers. AMUST hopes that the new students will have a wonderful and fruitful experience at AMUST and will achieve their academic goals and aspirations.
